Exploring some snack options at Universal Orlando!

What's one of the best things about theme parks? The foods and snacks have to be near the top of the list. We all love snacks and I have wandered around Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure to compose a list of my family's favorite snacks.

BUTTERBEER

Of course, any Harry Potter fan knows about Butterbeer either from the books or movies. In the parks you can get it hot, cold or frozen. I love the frozen and my husband likes the cold. It's a sweet, butterscotch flavored drink that I believe Universal got just right. You can find this in both Harry Potter areas of the parks, and you can also get it as a drink option with your food at Leaky Cauldron or Three Broomsticks. These usually run about $7.99.

CHURROS

Churros are always a great treat. They are crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. They are just perfect for that sweet pick me up during the day. Churros can be found at most of the snack stands throughout both parks and will run about $5.99 and comes with a cup of chocolate sauce.

DOLE WHIP

I know people think of dole whip at Disney parks but Universal has it also. This is the perfect snack for those hot days in Florida. It's a sweet, pineapple sorbet that's just refreshing. You can find this in a cup or cone at Whimpy's in Toon Lagoon or Schwab's Pharmacy in Universal Studios. This will cost you $3.99 for a cup and $4.49 for a cone.

POPCORN BUCKETS

If you love my popcorn like my son does, then buying the refillable popcorn bucket is a cheap way to let the kids snack all day. You can buy these buckets at any popcorn stand in the parks for around $12 with refills for around $3. It is a cute bucket (not the character popcorn buckets, those cost more and don't hold as much) with a lid and carry handle that's easy to hook on a backpack or fanny pack.

THE BIG PINK

If you have ever watched the Simpson’s, then you know about Homer's love for donuts. In the Simpson’s area you can get a Big Pink at Lard Lad Donuts. It's a massive cake donut with pink icing and sprinkles. It will run you about $9.99 but it is enough to share and give you a huge sugar rush. It's super sweet but oh so good.
