So if you're planning a trip to Universal Orlando, the first thing you think about would be the tickets. Today we are going to discuss tickets, Express Passes and special event tickets.
Universal offers a couple different options when it comes to park tickets. You can do single park tickets or Park-to-Park tickets. The single park tickets are just what they sound like. You get to enjoy Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure or Volcano Bay water park for just one day, with no access to another park on that day. Now with Park-to-Park tickets you can travel between parks on the same day. If you want to ride the Hogwarts Express train you must have the Park-To-Park tickets. There are two different Park-to-Park tickets, the two park tickets which allow you to go from Universal Studios to Islands of Adventure as much as you want during the day. They also offer a three-park ticket, which allows you to go to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay as much as you want during the day.
Universal Orlando also offers Express Pass tickets that you can buy for your park days. The Express Pass is only good from park open to park close for one day. So you must buy these tickets for every day of your visit if you want them the whole time. Now, what exactly are Express Passes, you might ask? Well, these Passes allow you to go in separate ride queues from the standby lines. When you purchase Express Passes you will likely have a wait time that's almost always shorter than the standby queue. The only ride in the park that does not take the Express Pass is Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure. You can buy Express Passes for one park or both parks, it depends on if you do Park-to-Park tickets or not. There are also two types of Express Passes, Universal Express Unlimited and Universal Express Pass. The Universal Express unlimited allows you to go on rides multiple times while you have the Express Pass, while the Universal Express Pass allows you to go on rides only one time while you have it.
During the year Universal Orlando holds Mardi Gras and Halloween events. During the Mardi Gras event they hold concerts at Universal Studios. If you have park tickets for the day on concert days, the concerts are included with your ticket. If you wish to go to the concerts but not the parks on concert days you can buy concert tickets only from the Universal Orlando website. If you choose to just do the concerts you will only be able to enter the park at a certain time before the concerts begin. As for the Halloween event that they hold every year, I will discuss these tickets in a separate blog because there are a lot of options for tickets at this event.
