It had been a little while since I updated this, so I wanted to provide a notice of upcoming ride closures:
Fast and Furious: Supercharged - August 19th and November 3rd, 2024
Well it finally happened, Fast and Furious: Supercharged has closed “temporarily” as of August 19th and will remain closed at least until November 3rd, 2024. What does the future hold for this ride? That’s anybody’s guess but this does mean that the ride will be unavailable during the entirety of Halloween Horror Nights at least.
MEN IN BLACK™ Alien Attack™ - November 4 thru December 10, 2024
This one hurts a bit as I personally enjoy this ride way too much but hopefully with the dates of closure it won’t affect many everyone’s trips as it is a bit less busy with the exception of Thanksgiving week which is notoriously busy.
Hogwarts™ Express will be temporarily closed November 4 - 7, 2024
Even though this one is just for a few days it is a fan favorite and a fun way to get from park-to-park so it’s important to include. Walking is typically quicker than waiting in the line for this but it’s a super fun experience that is different depending on if you’re going from King’s Cross Station to Hogsmeade or from Hogsmeade to King’s Cross.
Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls® – Nov. 7, 2024 - Dec. 19, 2024
Universal occasionally has to shut down rides for extended periods for general refurbishment and this is no different. This will include a general refurbishment and maintenance but should be open again by late December but always check on dates and closures as they are subject to change.
Jurassic Park River Adventure – Jan. 6, 2025 - Jan. 23, 2025
Every year Jurassic Park River Adventure has scheduled maintenance sometime during the slower spell after the holidays, so this one isn’t a big surprise.
Me-Ship, The Olive – Oct. 21, 2024 Dec. 4, 2024
Again, water rides are notorious for longer maintenance times, but they’ve done a great job at staggering these out over the course of the fall and winter so it’s a limited amount of time down but with it and Dudley Do-Right’s down for almost the entirety of November, Toon Lagoon is going to seem very limited.
Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges – Jan. 24, 2025 - Mar. 15, 2025
This seems like a long time but if you’re familiar with this ride you’ll know the maintenance can’t be easy to do. Like any other water ride it makes sense to close it during colder (Florida cold) months.
Pteranodon Flyers - Who knows?
This ride has been closed since mid-April with no date currently for when it will be reopening. However, there is still plenty to do and see around Camp Jurassic so take your time and explore this section of Jurassic Park during your visit!
The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts™ Castle
There’s no date on if or when this will be returning. If we’re lucky we’ll get some kind of show for the Holidays like we did last winter but again, no guarantees and no dates given as of yet.
