What tickets do you need for Halloween Horror Nights?

We’re still very early on in speculation season for Halloween Horror Nights 33 but with new people attending the event every year it felt like a good time to discuss ticket options and add-ons. It can seem confusing if you’ve never been before, so we’ll start with the basics and build on that.

Halloween Horror Nights Tickets

The Basic Ticket

Single Night Ticket

This is the most basic ticket you can buy, it’s just a single night ticket. You do have to purchase this one first and in addition to any add-ons. You can think of this as a base package for experiencing Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) and then you can add on other passes to your liking such as Express or R.I.P. The single night tickets change based on the night you select but the cheapest they will be this year is $82.99 per person.

Add-Ons

Halloween Horror Nights Express Pass

This pass allows you to get into the houses faster, when the lines are working properly. This pass allows you to skip the regular line and go through an Express Queue, but you only get to skip the regular line one time per house, it is not an unlimited express so keep that in mind. These pass prices also change night to night but this year they’ll be starting at $129.99.

R.I.P. Tour

This tour provides a guided V.I.P. tour of the event. It is important to note that you’ll be put in a group with other parties (up to 10 people), however if you would like you can book a Private R.I.P. tour (we cover this one next).  It’ll be easier to show the benefits of this one in a list so here we go…

  • Exclusive VIP entrance to Universal Studios Florida on your selected event night.

  • Guided walking tour

  • Priority V.I.P.  entry to the haunted houses (once per house, based on itinerary) while on your guided tour.

  • Commemorative R.I.P. Tour credential, lanyard and button

  • Reception before your tour with light appetizers.

  • Universal Express Unlimited ride access at all participating rides and attractions for your tour date with your R.I.P. credentials. This can be used after you check in at VIP Experience and can be used before and/or after your tour during normal event operating hours but this excludes HHN haunted houses.

  • You also get reserved seating at the event show(s) during the tour.

Like every other ticket this tour's price changes nightly but does start at $359.99 and you do have to purchase the single night ticket for the same night first to be able to add this.

Private R.I.P. Tour

This one is a little different than a regular R.I.P. tour. It includes everything from the R.I.P. tour, but this allows for your group of friends and family (up to 10 people) to be in the same group all together without others in the group. This one can only be booked by calling Universal.

Other Experiences

Behind the Screams Tours

This is a daytime V.I.P tour for a look at the behind the scenes of a select number of Halloween Horror Nights haunted houses, either 3 or 6 houses depending on which Behind the Screams tour you select. These offer behind the scenes access to the houses with the lights on with information provided by your tour guide. You also receive exclusive access to photograph select rooms as determined by the V.I.P. Experience guidelines for the year’s event. The 3-house tour starts at $99.99 per person and the 6-house tour starts at $179.99 and again these prices change daily so these are only starting prices. These do not require event admission to participate.

Other Experiences Not Yet Available for Purchase

Rush of Fear Pass - these passes not being available, so details have not been listed yet but in 2023 this pass allows access for the first 18 nights of HHN and were $179.99 per person plus tax.

Frequent Fear Pass - this pass allowed for up to 30 nights, every Sunday thru Thursdays event night plus the first weekend and was $229.99 per person plus tax.

Frequent Fear Plus Pass - this pass allowed for up to 40 nights, every Sunday thru Fridays event night plus the first and last Saturday event nights and was $269.99 per person plus tax.

Ultimate Frequent Fear Pass - this pass allowed you to experience every event night, all 48 nights and was $374.99 per person plus tax.

Again, these are not currently for sale and these prices will obviously change from last year's event prices, but more information will be posted regarding these closer to the start of the event.

This is just a brief overview of each ticket option, and we’ll probably do a deeper dive into each as we get closer to the event, but this will give you a good idea of what to expect price and experience wise. Check back later for the follow-ups and we’ll see you in the fog!
